This Week's Homework

Now that we're in to more of a routine, I can post the week's homework.  If there are any changes (for example, any work not completed in class) I'll post on here.

For the week:

- 100 minutes of reading in French.  Please hand in the reading log (yellow duo-tang) on Friday.
- Study individual words.  Each student will have 10 words to study for a spelling quiz, which will be on Monday.

Monday:
- Math subtraction sheet (both sides)

Tuesday:
- Math book, pages 66 and 67, numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7.

Wednesday:
- Math book, pages 71 and 72, numbers 1, 2, 3,  and 6.

Question number 6 might be a bit tricky for some kids.  Here's the translation:

6. The Magna Carta was signed in 1215.  How many years have passed since it's signing.
Answer: 2013 - 1215 = 798 years.

Thursday:
- Math sheet, both sides.

1. Read in French for 100 minutes (this should be completed throughout the week, NOT in one night;)
2. Math sheet - finish your math sheet. 
3. Study your verbs - in your red duo-tang. Don't forget that we'll be having a quiz on them this Friday!
4. Sciences humaines - we finished the work in class, so no need to complete this at home!

Don't forget....
- Your permission forms for the Terry Fox Run
- Your hot lunch orders
- Your picks for your photo backgrounds

lundi, le 23 septembre

1. Read (in French) - 100 minutes
2. Math - page 53, #1,2,3, 6, 7, and 9
3. A few sheets went home today - a Terry Fox info sheet (it was bright green), the permission form to take part in the Terry Fox run (purple), and a sheet for class pictures.  Also, some students (who wanted them) will be bringing home hot lunch orders. Orders need to be in for Friday (by 9 am)
4. Some dates to remember this week:
    - Thursday: PJ day (one dollar donation for Terry Fox)
    - Friday: Terry Fox run

1. Read (in French) for 100 minutes - will be collected Monday
2. Math: page 48, #4 and #9
3. Have a great long weekend!

mercredi, le 18 septembre

1. Read 100 minutes (in French) this week
2. Math - page 47, #1, 3, 4, 9
3. A reminder that there is no school this Friday!

mardi, le 17 septembre

1. Lecture 100 minutes
2. Maths page 40 # 5, 10, 11

Monday, September 16

1. Read in French for 100 minutes (to be passed in next Monday)
2. Math - page 40, number 2, 3, and 4.

Friday's homework

1. Reading (in French!) - 100 minutes.  I will be collecting the yellow duo-tangs on Monday
2. Math (if not completed in class) - pages 36 and 36, numbers 2, 3, 4, 8, and 14
3. Social studies  (if not completed in class)  - Canadian map filled in and coloured, provinces and capitals.
